Judge Humrickhouse Appointed Chief Judge
On July 28, 2014, Bankruptcy Court Judge Stephani W. Humrickhouse was appointed Chief Judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina for a term of office not to exceed seven years.
A New York native, Judge Humrickhouse attended Cornell University and later received her law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Judge Humrickhouse was appointed to the bench by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in 2010. Prior to her appointment, Judge Humrickhouse worked as an attorney at the law firm of Nicholls & Crampton, P.A.
