William E. Brewer, Jr. has lived and practiced law in Raleigh since 1977, primarily as a sole practitioner or in a small firm. He was a general practitioner from 1977 – 1987. Since 1987, Brewer has concentrated his practice in representing debtors in chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcies. He was certified as a specialist in consumer bankruptcy by the NC State Bar in 1993. He served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) from 1997-2015 and as NACBA’s President from 2011-2012. Billy is a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy (2009). In 2014, Brewer received the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Bankruptcy Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
