Our Firm by the Numbers
Our firm doesn’t go out of its way to pick a particular kind of client. If an individual or business in the Cary or Raleigh area has unmanageable debt problems, we can help. Whether that help comes in the form of a chapter 7, chapter 11, or chapter 13 is always a result of determining what is best for the client. It’s always interesting, then, to take a step back to see how what kind of debt medicine is being administered the most. Between October 1, 2010 and September 31, 2011, we filed 312 chapter 7 cases, 309 chapter 13 cases, and 6 chapter 11 cases. Of course, these numbers aren’t necessarily representative of the time spent on a case. A chapter 11 case typically requires 50 to 150 hours of work, where chapter 7 and 13 cases run on a shorter time-line.
