Koren Robinson was a wide receiver for NC State and played in the NFL for many years. He filed a chapter 13 on January 31, 2014 in the Raleigh Division of the Eastern District of North Carolina but it was dismissed on March 18, 2014 for failure to submit required paperwork with the bankruptcy court. Mr. Robinson had filed a chapter 7 bankruptcy case in 2012 in which he received a discharge. In the chapter 7 case a house owned by him and utilized by his mother was liquidated by the chapter 7 trustee. In the chapter 7 case the NC Department of Revenue filed a proof of claim reflecting unpaid tax liabilities in excess of $1.8M. Other athletes who have filed bankruptcy in the Raleigh Division of the Eastern District of North Carolina include Olympian Marion Jones and the former 1st round of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays Paul Wilder.
